Great food and service. The dipping bar is phenomenal and I love the desert selections! Will definitely come back for more :)
The sauce bar made all the difference in the hot pot, it would have been average if not. But with 3 meats 2 platters, bok choy, and fresh noodles we paid $86 and took some home. Didn't like the chicken and beef so much.
Qiaolin is my go-to for hotpot. The variety of broths available was impressive, catering to all taste preferences. I opted for the spicy Sichuan broth, which had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. The ingredients were fresh and abundant, with a wide selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables to choose from. What truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. The dipping sauces bar was a delightful addition, allowing us to customize our flavors to perfection. The quality and freshness of the ingredients truly shone through, making every bite delicious. They occasionally have secret menus at sauces bar, that's another reason we come almost very week
The environment is good. The food is okay. Service also good. Would recommend and be willing to go another time.
honestly it was pretty damn good hotpot in terms of i usually go for ayce for value but to be full and satisfied it was around 40 bucks per person and the broth and quality of food was quite delicious. loved the beef options. service was great, and the vibes of the place were fine. very bright but all chill
I had such a fun time here with friends for dinner! After ordering our broth and dishes, I immediately went to their sauce bar, and it did not disappoint. They have a wide selection for you to make your hotpot sauce, and a couple of fruits, soups, congee, and snacks for before your food arrives. We tried both a spicy and nonspicy broth, and at first, the spicy broth was manageable for me (someone who can't tolerate super spicy foods). After thirty minutes, the spiciness of the peppers really seeped into the broth and I had to switch to the mushroom side. They also plate their dishes uniquely on large plates with dry ice and other embellishments. It made the experience fun and interesting as new food kept coming to the table. Overall, I loved this vibrant hotpot place and wish I had discovered it sooner!
So we drove by this spot the other week and remember seeing it on socials. This place reminds me of another local hot pot place on south shore, but cheaper in price and bigger in portions. the table, space and amenities are on point. They even give you real aprons if you want to wear it as a splash guard because you know how not everyone's chopstick skills aren't the same haha. So I've been here twice, once with the lady and another for a birthday dinner for a good friend. There is parking in the back of the restaurant and on the street. It's definitely a gem in Allston and on my top hot pot places to eat at now (yes we've eaten quite a lot around Boston) To start our servers were A1 attentive both times. The menu, it's pretty big with options. I have found that my favorite broths to choose is the tomato and the pork with white pepper combo. Note: if you choose to get the spicy, it's actually spicy we got the medium one. (Beware for spice intolerant folks) The Crispy pork appetizer was yum, wish it had a tad more pork but i saw all the other families order it so we had to try. The stuff fish ball has fish roe in it for those wondering. I prefer the cheapest white fish over the fancier options due to my preference and taste. It's also some fat pieces btw. The chicken was good for folks that can't eat beef. My favorite beef selections was the Marinated tender beef and the spicy marinated beef. We did get the Kobe, meter long beef, spicy marinated beef tongue, pork belly, pork, veggies, the hand made noodles and home made beef balls were good. If you get Napa cabbage you're getting the whole head of cabbage haha. Thank you. Long story short, wait times are long, reserve ahead of time, well worth the wait even if not. Definitely recommend and will be bringing more friends and family down here. The mango pineapple drink was fire, whole table got one after tasting ours. Sauce WALL has everything to make a good dipping sauce. It has fruits, candy, random other small eats for the taking as well. My sauce - Soy sauce -sesame oil - spicy beef sauce - sesame seeds - peanuts - satay bbq sauce - scallion - lots of garlic - fermented bean curd
Heard great things about Qiao Lin Hotpot and had to come check it out! Definitely one of the best hotspot spots around in the Boston area. We came here on a Tuesday right before dinner time (~5pm) and were able to snag a table without having to wait. For broths, they have 6 options in which you can choose to get one single pot of broth, half & half, or 3 broths divided in one pot for the same price (no additional charge for getting another broth). We got the chongqing spicy broth and the herbal chicken. Both were great but next time we will have to get level 1 spicy instead of 2 because we underestimated how spicy it would be. The portions for the meats, fish, and vegetables were big. We ended up over ordering because we didn't expect the portion sizes. Luckily, they do allow you to take home any meats, noodles, etc you didn't finish and you can cook it at home! They also has a lovely sauce bar, where you will find complimentary spicy cold chicken feet, spicy garlic woods ear, and Chinese cold sweet soups. This is one of the best hot pot places I have been to in Boston and is honestly like eating hotpot in China. Amazing fresh quality and great service. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious hotpot... Qiao Lin did not disappoint !
We ordered a lot of food (not shown in pics) and it was all so good! All my Chinese friends said that this was an authentic hot pot place that was one of the best in Boston. It was pretty busy and packed so you have to have a reservation or you would be waiting a long time. The food came out pretty fast and the spice is there for sure! There are a lot of tables and the vibes of the restaurant is nice as well. I would come again! Definitely order the fried pork and shrimp paste!
It was busy on Sunday lunch; people were waiting outside before they opened. The atmosphere, decent price, and food quality, except for the service, can be unorganized. I highly recommend 3 different broths, the same price as 1 and 2 broths, but I hate that they charged each person for the sauce bar even though not everyone used it.
